We’ve been making and refining this pack for the past 6 years. We designed it for fishing but it's being used all over the world, for all kinds of things, and has been tested to its limits.

The idea for the bag came from a frustration that fishing is so often overcomplicated, particularly the kit, so this pack is designed to take just the things you need and have them close to hand.

Are your bags waterproof?

Our bags are not totally waterproof, very few are. But they are pretty damn close. This bag has two layers of waterproof fabric for extra protection.

What can I fit in this bag?

This is a hard question to answer as so many things are different shapes and sizes. However, we can easily fit a couple of spools of tippet, a big C&F fly box and a couple of smaller boxes too. It takes more than enough for a great day on the water.

Why do you make in small batches?

Making only what’s needed helps keep our impact as low as possible and avoids producing bags that never get used. It also allows us to focus on quality and longevity rather than volume, and to stay accountable for every bag we make.

Can I customise this bag?

Sometimes we can, sometimes we can't. It depends on the product. If you want to know more, send us an email and let us know what product you would like to personalise, along with what sort of personalisation you would like.

British made since 1880

British Millerain have been waterproofing and dyeing fabrics for over 140 years. The dry-waxed canvas we use is a 8oz cotton canvas, which has been impregnated with a unique wax blend for increased water repellency.

We use a waterproof polyester lining in a hi-vis orange. This combines with our water resistant waxed outer fabric to help keep your gear safe, dry and easy to find.

Great zips = 50 hours of research

We don't like zips, they tend to be the first thing that breaks on a bag. So when it came to finding a zip for our Universal Pack we knew it had to be something special.Eventually we chose a Riri AQUAzip®. These zippers are weatherproof, super hard-wearing, and made in Switzerland.
